A male Chinese student used a large kitchen knife to behead a female Chinese student in a cafe in a graduate student residence at Virginia Tech last Wednesday. The beheading took place with a number of students looking on, and when the police arrived, the perpetrator was holding the woman's head in his hands. The administration has issued bland reports, helplessly lamenting the crime and noting that this senseless killing is a painful reminder of the senseless mass killing that took place at Virginia Tech almost two years ago.
