Campus Progress and YAF   [John McCormack]

There's a bit of a storm brewing over at Campus Progress regarding Jason Mattera's denial of press credentials to a Campus Progress intern for the Young America's Foundation national student conference scheduled for July 30 through August 5. After being granted press credentials by Campus Progress to report on their conference this past Wednesday, I hope that Jason and YAF reconsider.
Although members of Campus Progress usually like to register for conservative conferences disguised as conservatives, maybe this request for press creds shows a move toward honest reporting. I'm sure that I could have painted a much darker picture of the Campus Left if I hadn't told students at Wednesday's conference that I was interning at NR. Perhaps YAF should grant press creds on the condition that Campus Progress agrees to end its childish "infilitration" of conservative conferences. YAF isn't directly affiliated with NR, but it would be nice to see credentialing reciprocity continue in general.  I don't want to pretend like I'm a liberal.
